This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Tajweed, the science of proper Qur’anic recitation. Students will learn the essential rules governing the pronunciation, articulation, and phonetics of Arabic letters as they appear in the Qur’an. Emphasis will be placed on mastering Makharij (articulation points), Sifaat (attributes of letters), rules of Nun Sakinah and Tanween, Madd (elongation), Qalqalah, and other fundamental concepts. The course will also focus on practical recitation to ensure correct application of Tajweed rules, aiming to preserve the authenticity and beauty of the Qur’anic text as revealed.

Through theory and guided recitation, students will develop a strong foundation in Tajweed that enables them to recite the Qur’an accurately and beautifully, in accordance with traditional methods passed down from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
